How to be a great neighbor!

How to Be a Great Neighbor

from wikiHow - The How to Manual That You Can Edit

Neighbors have rights towards us. Our actions towards our neighbors reflects our kind nature and our good morals. We should all know our duty towards our neighbors whether it is a neighbor at home or at work.

Steps

  1. Show them a warm welcome and extend a helping hand. Show them you care by offering to mow the lawn, shovel snow, rake leaves, etc, etc.
  2. Be kind to your neighbors and respect them. Do not trespass onto their property. This is disrespectful and illegal.
  3. Visit your neighbors and bring them gifts on occasions.
  4. If they need to borrow something from you, you should provide them with it when you can. Lend them rakes, your lawn mower, etc. Feel free to ask for it back when you need it. This will show them that you are a good neighbor and they will most likely lend something to you when you need it.
  5. If they ask you for help you should help them. Do this especially if they are elderly or disabled.
  6. If they fall into sadness you should ease their pain. Bring them food , call them, or just talk to them. Don't bother them too much though.
  7. Kindly and respectably deal with them. Be nice even if something of theirs is bothering you. EX: Their grass is too long. Politely ask them if they can mow it, or offer to do it yourself. Don't bother them about it a lot.

Warnings

  • Do not make fun of the way they live, talk, or dress!
  • Do not throw your garbage in their yard
  • Do not park your car in your neighbor's parking lot or on their grass
